Jack Hickson is a dedicated lawyer at Kelly Legal, specialising in commercial and property law. Since joining the firm in 2017, Jack has been instrumental in assisting clients with commercial and rural conveyancing, litigation, and has been involved in a broad range of property law matters, including subdivisions, easements, and plan registrations.
Jack’s legal journey commenced when he relocated from Canberra to Mackay in late 2017 to play for the Mackay Cutters Intrust Super Cup Team. In early 2020, Jack transitioned to our Brisbane office after securing a contract with the Souths Logan Magpies Intrust Super Cup Team.
In February 2025, Jack achieved a significant milestone by being admitted as a lawyer to the Queensland Supreme Court. He holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours), reflecting his commitment to legal excellence and keen interest in commercial law practice with broad coverage across all areas of property law.
Beyond his legal endeavours, Jack has been actively involved in community initiatives. While with the Mackay Cutters, he contributed to programs for schools, junior clubs and the ‘Change the Game’ mental health initiative. Jack embraced the community spirit of Regional Queensland and now brings that same enthusiasm to Brisbane’s vibrant city life.
