Patrick Kelly

Patrick commenced with Kelly Legal in 2013 and has recently moved into the role of Director heading up Kelly Legal’s growing Brisbane office.

Patrick studied his Bachelor of Laws at James Cook University and went on to complete his practical legal training at Kelly Legal through Australian National University. Patrick was admitted in 2014 and has since obtained a Graduate Certificate in Insolvency and Restructuring from Queensland University of Technology.

Patrick specialises in Commercial Litigation, while also actively working in the areas of Building and Construction and Planning and Environment Law. Patrick utilises his specialised experience and knowledge in this field to guide clients towards the best outcome.

Like many of his colleagues, Patrick considers the friendly and inclusive culture at Kelly Legal an important feature that allows the team to work together in a hands-on manner to deliver the best results for the client.

Sport and in particular Rugby League have played a big role in Patrick’s life and he is still heavily involved in sport and enjoys staying active. Having grown up with the laid-back lifestyle of the Mackay region, Patrick and his wife were drawn to settle on the Sunshine Coast where they can enjoy being close to Brisbane city but retreat to quieter coastal beaches.
